Green Wind Energy

The last year my wife and I have really enjoyed watching the Green Channel on T.V.  The show that got us hooked was the documentary about Greensburg, KS.  Over the course of the last year I have been wondering what the cost of adding a residential wind mill to new construction houses and small commercial buildings would add to the construction costs.  How much easier would it have been for homes with wind and solar energy supply power to survive all the hurricane periods we have in the Houston and surrounding coastal areas?  I guess you would still have to deal with those components sustaining damage, but if they were not damage it sure would have made our lives better during those periods.  In additional just think what our monthly utility expenses would be if these types of items were considered standard euipement.

Oh well, just food for thought.
